2004-03-30 - 9:13 a.m. Viva Variety! I think it's becoming my personal quest to give as many of these entries exclamatory titles as often as is possible. I'm a peppy person, I just can't help myself! See, I'm doing it again. Anyway, here are some random updates and thoughts since I can't come up with a unifying theme to save myself. The OC has a soundtrack out now, and I am so excited! I've added it to my list of useless things I need to buy now. In other music news, I'll be seeing the Twilight Singers this week, which kicks rock. I'll also be seeing Prince in August, which is even more monumental. And to top all of this good news off, I might be seeing my hero, Morrissey, in New York City! I love it! Everything is set for my trip to North Carolina next month, so I've entered the crucial "buying shoes and beachwear and bags" stage of planning. I'm also going to be in Las Vegas in June, so anyone looking to party in Sin City should give me a ring. I'll be there with other heavy drinking marketing types, avoiding the tacky shows as much as possible. That's it for now. I should have a review of Jersey Girl starring Giancarlo Panini for you tomorrow. We'll see how God awful the day turns out. Dream Watch 2003: I was Agent Sydney Bristow, a guest at a baby shower at the Farm. You know, CIA headquarters? Anyway, I realized the party was actually for me. I was having Vaughn's baby, yet I still could fit into a leather catsuit, so I was totally psyched. But then I looked into the mirror and realized I had turned into Lauren! EWW! This better not happen on the show. What I'm Listening To: Erasure, Pop! This is seriously the most awesome, gayest album ever. I love the great synth stuff, the wonderful vocals, and the cheesetastic lyrics. What I'm Reading: Joss Whedon's Fray. It's very dorky to be reading a graphic novel, I know, but it's actually pretty interesting. I'm noticing that stories told in that format tend to be a little hokier, but that's okay. It's still better than watching 7th Heaven. What I'm Watching: The Sopranos. It's really well done, and Edie Falco just destroys me. She's so good. You feel so much for her, especially with those annoying kids disrespecting her. I'm also glad Tony sent Feech LaManna back to jail. As much as I love screaming "FEECH!" everytime he appears, he was seriously gnawing the scenery a bit too much. Also, Diamond Dave cameo'd last night. That's right, David Lee Roth himself played poker with Tony. His bleached out mop of straw "hair" also acquitted itself quite nicely.
